Cancellations
Please cancel by phone, e-mail or in
writing and request a cancellation number.
THE PINES MOTORLODGE
As a small property with limited
availability and short season, we must adhere to a
strict cancellation policy. We hope you understand and
apologize if it seems harsh. We try to accommodate all
potential and repeat guests and it is not fair for those
who wish to book to not have that opportunity.
If you should need to cancel for any
reason, you must do so within fourteen days (14) of your
reservation arrival date to avoid significant
cancellation charges.
Cancellations received by 3 pm (EST) 14
days prior to your arrival will be charged a standard
processing fee of $40 per room. For cancellations
within 14 days of arrival, even if your reservation was
made during this time period, more significant charges
apply which include the cost of your entire
reservation/per room charged to your credit card on
file.
If you should need to cancel, for your
records, please cancel both by phone and in writing
requesting a cancellation number. As well, there is no
refund for an early check-out for any reason.
MAPLE RIDGE COTTAGES
As a small property with very limited
availability and high demand, we must adhere to a strict
cancellation policy. We hope you understand and
apologize if it seems harsh. We try to accommodate all
potential and repeat guests and it is not fair for those
who wish to book to not have that opportunity due to
another individual holding a reservation.
If you do not return the attached Maple
Ridge Cottages (MRC) Information and Policy Contract
within the 5 day period, your reservation will be
cancelled and you will be charged a $150 cancellation
fee. As well, if you choose to cancel your reservation
within this five day period, you will be charged $150
for reservations lost while the reservation was held in
your name.
If you cancel 30 days prior to the 5 pm
(EST) check-in time of your reservation, you will be
charged a processing fee of $150.
There is a 30 day cancellation policy on
all cottage rentals even if you made a reservation
within 30 days of your arrival. If you cancel
anytime within the thirty (30) days of your arrival,
there will be no refund unless we are able to re-rent
the property; in which case, you will be refunded the
portion of your original reservation re-rented less a
$150 administrative processing fee.

2008 Holidays
For Holiday Minimum Stays,
Guests May Choose Their Three or Four Night Package
Memorial Day Weekend: May 23rd, 24th & 25th
Independence Day Holiday: July 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th
Labor Day Weekend: August 29th, 30th & 31st
Policies
Check-in time is 3 to 7 pm (EST) for The Pines
Motorlodge and 5 to 7 pm for Maple Ridge Cottages
and the 98 Center Guesthouse.
Late arrivals can be accommodated with advance notice.
If you know you are going to be arriving late, please
notify staff to make arrangements. IF ARRIVING AFTER
9 PM, YOU MUST CONTACT THE OFFICE OR RISK YOUR
RESERVATION BEING RE-BOOKED.
Checkout time is 11 am (EST)
for all properties.
Late checkout can be arranged only if occupancy permits
and may be at an additional charge.
All accommodations are non-smoking based on numerous past guest
requests.
Smoking is allowed on the grounds and outside of
rooms/cottages
for your convenience. Smoking violations in rooms/cottages will
be subject to a minimum $150 cleaning fee and
reimbursement for any and all damages.
Due to limited seasonal room availability, EARLY
CHECKOUTS CANNOT AND WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY REASON
and will be charged according to the guest's
original reservation.
Guests are responsible and will be charged according
to the information contained in their confirmation
letter in respect to arrival and departure dates,
length of stay and room rates. Please read your
confirmation carefully to ensure we have appropriately
accommodated you.
Rates quoted are based on two-person/per room occupancy.
Rooms with full beds can accommodate up to two (2)
additional guests at a $25 per person/per evening
excluding children under 12. Maple Ridge Cottage
rates are based on quad (4 guest) occupancy.
Weeknight rates include Monday through Thursday evening
stays, excluding Holiday weekends.
Peak weekends require either a 2 or 3-evening minimum stay of Thursday,
Friday and Saturday evenings or Friday, Saturday and
Sunday evenings or Saturday, Sunday and Monday evenings at applicable weekend
rates.
Holiday weekends require a minimum of a Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday evening stay and may require
(either) a Monday (or Thursday) evening stay based on
yearly calendar dates.
We cannot guarantee specific room or cottage assignments.
Guarantee Your Reservation
Reservations will be guaranteed with a valid credit card
number in the total amount of the guest's stay. If
reserving by check, cashier's check or money order, such
method of payment must be received thirty (30) days
after the reservation is confirmed. Checks must contain
your telephone number and driver's license number.
Reservations will be cancelled if a deposit is
not received within five (5) days of your reservation.
Payment
Room payment due upon check-in!
Major credit cards are accepted for payment. Personal
checks are accepted with telephone number, driver's
license number and approval of Telecheck Systems. A 6%
Michigan sales tax and 2% local motel tax are added to
all quoted and printed rates.
With our recent renovations and in our attempt to
provide a quality lodging experience for all of our
guests, any and all damages to rooms or cottages will
be billed to your credit card or deducted from your
security deposit.
